MKW 3   Markawasi Camp (3 days/2 nights)

Day 1  Lima-San Pedro de Casta-Markawasi (L.D)



  • Overland transfer in the morning from your hotel in Lima to the village of San Pedro de Casta.

  • Lunch at a restaurant in San Pedro de Casta.

  • Thirty-minute car ride from San Pedro to Altogolpo where the 45-minute trek to the Markawasi Plateau begins.

  • Arrive at the Markawasi campsite late in the afternoon.

  • Watch the sunset from one of the plateau's lookouts.

  • Fireside dinner. 

  • Overnight at the campsite.

Day 2  Markawasi (B.L.D)



  • Early morning breakfast at the campsite.

  • Explore the Markawasi Plateau south area (3800 m.a.s.l.) approximately 7 am and continue on to Cachu Cachu Lagoon  (including The Southern Cross and The Inferno)*.

  • Lunch at the campsite.

  • Tour the central area of the plateau in the afternoon (The Valley of the Seals, The Chinese Ideogram, The Druid, The Prophet...)

  • Dinner at the campsite.
     

Day 3  Markawasi-San Pedro de Casta-Lima (B.L)



  • Breakfast at the campsite.

  • Tour the Citadel and the Chullpas area and the Face of Humanity in the morning​.

  • Return to San Pedro de Casta (45-minute walk, and 30-minute car ride).

  • Lunch at a local restaurant in San Pedro de Casta.

  • Private transfer to Lima early in the afternoon.

  • Arrive at your hotel in Lima in the evening.
